Be Thou My Vision
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight."
-Proverbs 3:5-6

Week 2. I was speaking to my friend about choosing something that sounds interesting, eventhough I don't know anything about for my thesis topic. She told me the above. Acknowledge Him in all that I do, even if I am not sure why I am choosing what I am choosing, because He knows the desires of our heart. Anything that God gives us has already taken into account of that.
Then this evening, as I was reading in the library, an old favorite song came to play on the radio.
I first learnt this when I went to ACS, the place I first surrendered to Him and acknowledged that He is God.
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art.
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.
Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.
Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.
High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.
